Matt John Evans

Matt John Evans is an educator and an actor who has worked with youth programs across Canada for over 25 years. Matt has presented his unique motivational performance “Meeting Challenges, Making Choices” to over 1/4 of a million students across Canada – from Springdale, Newfoundland to Nakusp, British Columbia.  

As an actor he has numerous films to his credit including Beowulf and Grendel, Black Swan, The Birder, Things To Do, The Legend of Gatorface and others. On TV he has appeared in the series, Highlander The Raven, and Daring and Grace. Matt has appeared in countless live productions both as an actor and directing capacities.  He is also the recipient of 6 best actor awards from the Western Ontario Drama League. Matt is the former Executive Director for Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving for over 25 years and has won the Provincial Road Safety Achievement Award for Professionalism in 2006 and 2010 (awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation) as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016 for his dedicated work with OSAID.


Matt is the past Vice President of Arrive Alive Ontario, and has been a member of many provincial, municipal and community road safety committees. Throughout the years, he has created and managed funding partnerships with AVIVA Canada, The Insurance Brokers Association Ontario, NISSAN, Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan, Teacher Life, and countless other Businesses and Provincial Ministries. Matt graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and has studied Education at the University or Winnipeg and acting at George Brown College.
